Can I install FLO Grips myself?

Yes, installing FLO Grips is straightforward. Refer to our How To Install FLO Grips video for guidance. If you’re unsure, a local bike shop can help.

Will FLO Grips fit on my bike?

Our current FLO Grips are designed to fit all flat handlebars with 22.2mm (7/8 inch) ends, which are the majority of flat handlebar bikes on the market.

FLO Grips are not for bull horn or drop-bar style road bikes.

Are FLO Grips suitable for all types of biking?

FLO Grips are designed for a wide range of biking styles, but specific grip thickness and texture preferences may vary by rider. If you have unique needs, contact us to discuss options.

Do FLO Grips work with twist shifters?

At this time, we do not recommend installing FLO Grips with twist style shifters.

How long will my grip wrap last?

The lifespan of the FLO Handle grip wrap depends on several factors, including the type of riding, environmental conditions, care, and the quality of the wrap. Like any bike grip, wear will vary based on these conditions. To extend the life of your grip wrap, you can clean it with soap and water.

What diameter is the FLO Grip?

FLO Grips typically measure 31-33mm depending on the grip wrap used (see next question). The thicknesses of our grips will have a tolerance of ±0.5mm from the posted thickness.

The FLO Handle's diameter measures 29mm.

How thick is the grip wrap Zen Ride uses?

Our FLO Grips are wrapped with grip wrap that is approximately 1mm thick. During installation, the wrap is stretched slightly by hand with a 50% overlap. Because this is a manual process, the final thickness of each grip may vary slightly (±0.5mm from the stated thickness).

Can I use thicker grip wrap?

While thicker grip wraps (ranging from 1.5 to 3.0mm) are available, our testing found that 1mm wrap provides the ideal balance for most riders. If you prefer a thicker grip (larger than 33mm) and are interested in Zen Ride's FLO Handle system, contact us to discuss your needs. We have the ability to customize our FLO Handles and/or source thicker grip wrap.

Where are FLO Grips made?

Zen Ride is headquartered in New Jersey, where we manufacture the entire FLO Handle system in-house. Additionally, we prioritize sourcing grip wraps from brands who produce their products in the USA.

Why do FLO Grips take 1-2 weeks to ship?

FLO Grips are made to order. To offer a wide variety of grip wrap options, we source the specific wrap you select at the time of your purchase. This allows us to stay flexible and provide a much broader range of finishing options.

Is the FLO Grip 3D printed?

Yes, the FLO Grip shell is 3D printed, while the elastomer is molded.

The founder of Zen Ride previously worked as an engineer at a leading medical device company that has manufactured and sold over $1 billion worth of 3D-printed devices. Additive manufacturing is just like any other process—when done properly, with thorough development, testing, process controls, and expertise, it’s a reliable and effective production method for the right application. We've spent significant time testing and refining our process to ensure that FLO Handles meet our high standards of quality and reliability.

I damaged a grip, what can I do?

If the grip wrap is worn out, torn, or damaged, you can replace it with a new wrap. Our current offerings are available in our Parts & Accessories Shop, or you can source wrap elsewhere (we love supporting local sporting goods stores!).

If the elastomer Bar End Elastomer is damaged or needs replacement, you can find one in our Parts & Accessories Shop as well.

If you suspect your FLO Handle shell is damaged in any way, please contact us before using it again. If one handle needs replacing, we can produce a replacement at 50% of the original pair's cost.

What is the warranty policy for FLO Grips?

We offer a warranty against manufacturing defects. If you encounter any issues, please contact us with details, and we will assist you.

What should I do if my FLO Grips feel slippery?

If your FLO Grips feel slippery, ensure they are clean and free from any oils or debris. If the grip wrap is worn, consider replacing it for better traction. Check our available selection in our Parts & Accessories Shop.

How do I clean and maintain my FLO Grips?

Regularly clean your FLO Grips with mild soap and water to remove dirt and grime. Avoid harsh chemicals, as they can damage the grip wrap. Proper maintenance will help extend the life of your grips.
